The Munali Nickel Mine "Munali" is run by Mabiza Resources Limited "Mabiza" and is situated in the Mazabuka District, 75 kilometers south of Lusaka, Zambia. A fully owned subsidiary of Consolidated Nickel Mines Ltd.
Position 1 ( Laboratory Analyst )
PURPOSE
- To analyze lab-submitted samples in a secure manner and with the greatest level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- To verify that all equipment is safe to use and that subordinate personnel is working safely, conduct safety checks.
- Any dangerous procedures or tools should be noted and reported right away to the lab manager.
- Make sure the lab is spotless and that appropriate housekeeping procedures are being followed.
- Report any missing chemicals and stock for the lab in a timely manner.
- Occasionally carry out activities as directed by the laboratory manager.
- Provide direction on laboratory safety and quality to all subordinate personnel.
- do periodic chores as directed by the lab manager.
- Contribute to the Quality System's upkeep.
- Ensure adherence to processes, guidelines, and analytical techniques.
- Make sure that all apparatus, equipment, and instruments are maintained, calibrated, and verified.
- assist in coordinating the proficiency testing systems' findings.
- Fill out any quality-related paperwork as needed for each shift.
- Verify the veracity of all the generated results and certifications.
- Make sure that any documentation related to your area of responsibility is accurately filled out.
- Inform the lab manager of any non-conformances.
- As needed, assist the lab chemist with his tasks linked to the lab.
- Control the laboratory's operations and the crew that works there.
- Participate in the daily operations of the lab.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade twelve school certificate.
- Diploma in science lab technician.
-Minimum three (3) years of testing laboratory experience.
- Tertiary education in Analytical Chemistry is preferred.
Position 2 ( Samplers x2 )
PURPOSE:
- To accurately and safely collect samples of plant ore, intermediate products, and finished goods for laboratory testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in meeting safety standards, quality tolerances, financial constraints, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Report any inadequate chemicals and stock required for sample in a timely manner.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Chemist.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Chemist.
- Assist with the upkeep of the Quality System.
- Ensure that processes, instructions, and analytical methodologies are followed.
- Ensure that all apparatus, equipment, and instruments are kept up to date in terms of maintenance, calibration, and verification.
- Finish all quality-related paperwork as needed each shift.
- Ensure that all results are correct.
- Ensure that any paperwork in your area of responsibility is accurately completed.
- Any non-conformities should be reported to the Laboratory Chemist.
- As needed, assist the Laboratory Chemist with his laboratory activities.
- Grade 12 school certificate.
- Capable of reading and writing.
- Experience with laboratory sample preparation is a plus.
Position 3 ( Sample prepare )
PURPOSE:
-To analyze samples supplied to the laboratory in a safe and accurate manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct safety checks to ensure that all equipment is fit for use and that subordinate employees are working safely.
- Identify and promptly report any harmful behaviors or equipment to the Lab Manager.
- Ensure that the laboratory is clean and that proper housekeeping procedures are followed.
- Report any inadequate chemicals and supplies for the preparation laboratory as soon as possible.
- Perform responsibilities as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
- Provide laboratory safety and quality instructions to all subordinate employees.
- Perform responsibilities as assigned by the Lab Manager.
- Assist with the upkeep of the Quality System.
- Ensure that processes, instructions, and analytical methodologies are followed.
- Ensure that all apparatus, equipment, and instruments are kept up to date in terms of maintenance, calibration, and verification.
- Finish all quality-related paperwork as needed each shift.
- Ensure that all results are correct.
- Ensure that any paperwork in your area of responsibility is accurately completed.
- Any non-conformities should be reported to the Lab Manager.
- As needed, assist the Lab Chemist with his laboratory activities.
- Grade 12 school certificate.

- 2 years of laboratory sample preparation experience is required.
